The Capital City Museum is part of
Kentucky After Dark!

The state of Kentucky’s creepiest passport program. Stop by the museum to earn your passport sticker and show the world you can handle haunts!

Frankfort, as old as the limestone cliffs surrounding it, has a death grip on people of the past. Between the famous Gray Lady Ghost at Liberty Hall and Governor Goebel at the Capital City Museum, it’s safe to say that Frankfort is Capital H for Haunted.

Not spooky enough? Delve into Frankfort’s cryptid and creepy lore by way of the Kentucky Deceased Podcast, available through the Capital City Museum. Yes, you read that right… the haunted one. Other ghostly outings offered here include the Kentucky Deceased Haunted Walking Tour, glimpsing the spirit of a Spanish Opera Singer at Liberty Hall’s famous gardens, the Murder and Mayhem tour (also from Capital City Museum), or the Beasts of the Bluegrass tour at Fort Hill park. After this tour of frights, you’ll need a shot of something strong from one of our haunted distilleries.
